Harwood Energy Saturday
October 29, 2011
NDC's second Energy Savers event was held at the Barclay School on Saturday, October 29th. The Harwood Energy Saturday began with brief presentations by the Baltimore Neighborhood Energy Challenge and Civic Works Project Lightbulb. Following these presentations, Jim Diel, Project Manager with Rebuilding Together Baltimore, led hands-on demonstrations of several DIY home energy upgrades. Next, participants were given a free DIY home energy kit and challenged to return home and implement a home energy upgrade that very morning. Finally, participants reconvened for a luncheon celebration featuring an Energy Savers bingo.

Jim Diel, Project Manager with Rebuilding Together Baltimore, invited participants to the front to try their hand at weatherstripping, caulking, and door bottom (sweep) installation .
