Thank you to everyone who helped to make our 40th Anniversary Gala a success!
On November 6, 2008, nearly 200 people came to the American Visionary Art Museum to celebrate NDC's 40th Anniversary and honor the many volunteers and community leaders who have helped to revitalize communities over the past four decades. Thank you to our guest speaker Michael Reynolds, who spoke about his efforts over the past 35 years to create "Earthships", self-sufficient, off-the-grid buildings and communities in the United States and across the globe. Thank you as well to Groove Mammals, Baltimore's best R&B dance band, to our caterer Sascha's, and to everyone who donated to our silent auction. Finally, thank you to Barbara Aylesworth, Gala Chair, and Nicole Lacoste, Silent Auction organizer, for making the event a success.
Want a copy of the poster to the right? NDC is selling 11" x 17" posters for $15 including S/H. Contact Mark Cameron at mcameron@ndc-md.org if interested.

Through the generosity of our sponsors and friends, we were able to raise $25,000 to support the pro-bono planning and design assistance we provide to help people build new playgrounds, reclaim vacant lots and abandoned buildings, revitalize commercial districts, create community master plans, and beautify neighborhoods.
Thank you to the American Visionary Art Museum for their support of the Gala, and to the following sponsors (special thanks to Cho Benn Holback + Assocites and George and Jo Ann Holback for making Michael Reynold's talk possible, and to The Urbanite as Media Sponsor
