McElderry Park Community Building
When a vacant building was donated to the McElderry Park Community Association in East Baltimore, they requested assistance from NDC to convert it into a community center. Volunteer architects John Brunnett and Chris Laboskey brought in a number of other architects from Gant Hart Brunett to help the community develop plans to renovate the building into a community center and meeting space.
The team provided conceptual floor plans, elevations, and preliminary cost estimates. While this was underway, the client was busy applying for grants and garnering in-kind resources.
"I find that the work done by NDC has put a fire under myself and a couple of other people in the association.", stated Jon Randall of the McElderry Park Community Association. Through NDC's assistance, the Association was able to renovate the building and move in within a year.
